Our Services

Prenatal & Birth Support

We provide thorough support during your pregnancy, and at birth. We will schedule three mandatory visits. The initial prenatal visit will include our introduction to each other, discussing your birth plan, initiating your care request while beginning to understand the process and some exercises to prepare mentally for your birth. This will be the first step toward putting your birth vision into reality. The second visit will be with your provider to discuss your birth plan. We will discuss solutions in case any birth plan changes arise or location of birth changes. This is to ensure that your birth team members are all on the same page and your birth requests are voiced in advance. The third visit will include learning and practicing comfort measures, relaxation techniques, processing any feelings towards the birth. You, your partner or family member may have questions as you approach the days towards your transition to motherhood. If requested, we will assist during labor & birth. We will be there early on during labor to provide support while you labor at home before deciding to go to the hospital or birth center. As labor progresses we will provide comfort techniques such as massage, aromatherapy and a comforting/reassuring voice. We will support the involvement of the father as well. We will also stay for a few hours after birth to assist in the baby’s first latch (how the baby fastens onto the breast while breastfeeding.) and make sure mom and baby are well adjusted before she leaves. For those who choose labor and birth assistance only, we provide one prenatal visit and one postpartum visit, in addition to your labor support.

Postnatal Care

As your Postpartum Doula we provide non-medical, physical and emotional support after the birth of full your term infant. Along with light household assistance, related to caring for your baby, we will focus on helping you recover by providing education and information on natural self-recovery measures, infant feeding education and support, breast or bottle-feeding guidance, advice on sleep/calm techniques and more. We will provide non-medical day or night newborn care for the term of agreed time.

Indigenous people of this world know about the power and beauty of ceremony, through this ancient art, we are reminded that all life is sacred, and that all are weaved in the infinite art of being. Ceremonies are kept to celebrate transitions in life such as fertility, birth, naming and more. They may include prayer, chants, music, drumming, songs, and stories. Ceremonies are very purposeful, and orderly ultimately receiving the intended outcome of inspiration or healing. There’s also a clear finishing to ceremony, of gratitude and closing of sacred space. Know that the vibrations have a rhythm of their own. No two ceremonies are alike. Elements of ceremony are designed to bring its sharer into union with the sacred gifts and process of life.
