Our Doula course is designed for individuals who are interested in becoming trained and certified doulas. This comprehensive program covers all aspects of doula care, from prenatal support to postpartum care and beyond. Our course 3 month is taught by experienced doulas who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and skills with others.
The course is divided into several modules, each of which covers a different aspect of doula care. Topics include:
Prenatal Support: In this module, you will learn about prenatal nutrition, exercise, and self-care. You will also learn how to provide emotional and informational support to expecting parents, including helping them create birth plans and prepare for childbirth.
Labor and Delivery: This module covers the stages of labor, pain management techniques, and strategies for supporting birthing individuals during the delivery process. You will also learn about the role of medical interventions in childbirth and how to advocate for your clients’ preferences.
Postpartum Care: This module covers the physical and emotional changes that occur after childbirth, as well as how to provide support for breastfeeding, newborn care, and emotional well-being. You will also learn about postpartum mood disorders and how to recognize and address them.
Breastfeeding Counselor: This module provides students with an understanding of the principles and techniques of breastfeeding counseling. Students will learn about the anatomy and physiology of lactation, common breastfeeding challenges, and effective counseling techniques to support and promote breastfeeding.
Business Skills: In this module, you will learn how to market yourself as a doula, set up a business, and manage client relationships. You will also learn about legal and ethical considerations for doula practice.
The course is delivered through a combination of online lectures, live webinars, and hands-on practice sessions. You will have the opportunity to work with real clients under the supervision of experienced doulas, gaining valuable practical experience.
Upon completion of the course, you will receive certification as a doula and be eligible to join our network of certified doulas. You will also have the skills and knowledge needed to start your own doula business or work as a doula in a variety of settings.
